Options to fund services

Zone Psychology prides ourselves on having a variety of options for you so that you can receive the support you need.

01

Private Funding

The 'cleanest' means to seek support.  No referrals required.  A preferred option for our higher profile clients who prefer an extra level of anonymity when seeking supports.  Credit card or bank transfer payments accepted.

02

Mental Health Care Plan

Perhaps the most common means by which Australians access mental health support.  Go to your GP, Psychiatrist or paediatrician and get a mental health care plan referral.  This will entitle you to receive a rebate through medicare for up to 10 sessions/yr.  The rebate will be approx 50% of the session fee.

03

NDIS

If you are "self" or "plan" managed for your NDIS plan, you can access psychological functional and capacity building supports from us if it is included in your plan.  Need a psychosocial functional assessment?  We can do that too.

04

Private Health

Some private health funds cover psychological services. Please consult with your provider to confirm.  Note that you are not able to claim medicare funded rebates and private health rebates in the same session.

ABOUT ME

My name is Bart Traynor.  I am a straight talking, passionate, positive, and dedicated clinical psychologist and operational leader.  I am very passionate about health and fitness and the interplay between all aspects of what makes us 'healthy'.  I am a Member of the Australian Association of Psychologists and the Association of Applied Sports Psychology,  and AHPRA Board Approved Clinical Supervisor.

I have a particular passion for helping athletes/ men's mental health and helping people become the very best version of themselves, beit in the home as a partner or father, the workplace or on the sporting field. I also consult with and provide training and support to organisations struggling with mental health issues in the workplace.   Through my career I have been fortunate to know personally and also work with people who are required to perform at an elite level and I have developed a strong understanding of the demands this can place on someone and their family.  I have also had the opportunity to be a primary supervisor to provisional psychologists who have also performed at an elite level in their sport.  Additionally, I am a facilitator of the “Tackle Your Feelings” mental health awareness program. This is driven by the AFL Coaches Association and one of the largest mental health awareness programs in Australia sporting history.

I am in the unique position as a professional having experience in working from a private, government and non-government perspective.  I have presented nationally and internationally to health care professionals on how to engage and support clients with extreme behaviours.
